Is it Deja Vu?  Sometimes we have to review history in order to prevent reliving it!

Years ago, in a democratic country, a popular politician gained political control of the country by taking over the major political party.  Those who spoke against him were outed from the party and the party became the voice of it’s leader.  This leader, in order to maintain power, developed an elite paramilitary organization which strong armed any opposition.  This leader further turned on the very democratic process that put him in power, labeled the process as traitorous, and identified other competitive parties as communistic, which he then proceeded to eliminate.  The group he created became his enforcement army, muscled the public and specific racial groups. They were responsible for a substantial number of violent deaths of the other party’s leadership and innocent bystanders.  One public characteristic of this group was their racist, torch-lit parades though out the capital.

Even the conservatives who put this leader into power thought that they could control him, but were unsuccessful.  In due course, the leader expressed his own racism openly, outwardly, and tragically .

A create event gave this leader an opportunity to suspend civil liberties, eliminate political opposition, and allowed him to act without constitutional limitation, reconstructing the laws to conform to his objectives.  With these acts he abolished state powers, eliminated all political parties and organizations, and made eugenics and racism national objectives.
